DRINK - COLLEGE BARS

There are really only two reasons most people go to college: to play beer pong and to eventually be able to get a job. As anyone who's graduated college knows, the only thing an undergraduate degree qualifies you for is a job playing beer pong, and that job has no health insurance. So your best bet is to save yourself 150 grand, skip college all together and go straight to playing beer pong at bars, because that way at least you don't have to pay some nerd to write your term paper for you. Here some places you can either chase or relive your college dreams:

WICKED WILLY'S
The name Wicked Willy's may sound like a double entendre, but really it's just a single entendre. While STDs and date rape may not be the most appealing connections to make to bar name, they're all part of the total beer pong brand, so you take the good with the bad. This bar, which has 5 neon beer pong tables, is like a Dave Matthews Band concert - it sounds good, but the crowd of douches can ruin the whole thing if you let them. Resist the frat pledging and enjoy live music, karaoke, and specials like $1 beers, $2 shots, $7 pitchers with beer pong and flip cup tournaments on Monday, and "Fun Fridays" with live music til 11pm and $4 drink specials. Watch out for door cover between $5 and $10, but also watch for having too much "fun."

JAKE'S DILEMMA
Another bar that sounds like a subtle reference to an STD, Jake's Dilemma has an edge in terms of not just having beer that is as cheap in price as it is in quality to chug down your throat. They boast 30 bottles from all over the US and 14 on tap, in case you care about the taste and alcohol content of the beer you're throwing a filth-covered ball into. Monday, as usual, is the day to go if you want $1 drafts, $8 pitchers and $3 shots from 8pm to close, following the every day half price special until 8pm. Other nights include $12 buckets of 5 domestic beers, and power hour on Saturday with $1 drafts and $2 shots. Complete with Big Buck Safari and Fooz Ball, this is definitely a bar.

THE CHERRY TREE
A nice Park Slope bar that is confused between its location and the age of its patrons, The Cherry Tree probably shouldn't have a beer pong table. It has 23 microbrews on tap. It has a nice back yard. It has a chess set and a fireplace. It sounds more like my parents house than my college dorm. More accurately, it sounds like a Park Slope bar that also has beer pong. Which sounds pretty damn good, especially if you live in Brooklyn and your collar is decidedly unpopped. They make up for fewer insane beer specials with larger insane beer selection, but their specials include the classic pint of PBR and a shot for $5 or for the same price the more Slope-apprope and adventurous green tea and Bourbon (the "Rico"). Happy hour is daily from 1pm-8pm with $3 shots, PBR, Bud Light bottles; $4 well drinks and Bud drafts. And if that isn't enough competition, it also has Big Buck Hunter.
